Coterie Place
Community Brand Building
Humans are hardwired for connection however so much of our modern lives are spent disconnected from those around us. Through my research and talking with peers, it was clear that part of the reason making friends and building a community was so difficult was due to the lack of dedicated spaces to connect with others. So, I asked the question – “How can we find alternative ways of connecting with others especially during a time where younger generations are embracing alternative forms of living (getting married later, having children later, etc.)?
As a consciously designed 65-unit coliving space, Coterie Place intends to reimagine modern living by addressing the innate human need for belonging, community, and connection. Coterie Place exists as the common ground for connection, serving as a physical place where like-minded individuals can come together to live, work, eat and play.
Seemingly trivial micro interactions - whether it’s grabbing something from the kitchen or passing by the living room - are the seeds from which community grows. Coterie Place provides the shared space, or the medium, through which these micro interactions add up to reflect the fabric of a strong community.
